Sue Ellen's

It's not even much of the place that's the issue. It's more of the women that go there. They seem very closed off, into their friends, and on their phone. And this is coming from somebody who been there several times. I personally don't feel it's a great place to meet other women of the rainbow flag. I was told this is a good spot. The place is cool looking two floors with karaoke on the top floor (Which is fun to watch). But, the dance floor was empty with one person or no ppl dancing each time I went. Also, another thing to keep in mind is to bring cash. So, I never carry credit due to the reviews.

I really enjoy Sue’s. Always a good time. Never had to pay more than a $5 cover charge. I think it’s free before 9pm. Drinks range from $5-7. I do feel like the music is hit or miss. Depends on the DJ for that night. If it’s your first time, don’t be intimidated or shy by any means, very friendly vibes. DO NOT accept the jello shots (the lady that sells them takes the whole entire tray in the bathroom with her). Majority of the bartenders are friendly, but there’s about 2 or 3 of them that really don’t enjoy their job (all 3 are masculine presenting btw).

I've been coming here the last couple of years and enjoy the community Sue Ellen's attracts. The events are fun and the staff is friendly. The only complaint I have is the drink prices change from different sides of the bar and different times at night for the same drink and the bar ALWAYS has duplicate pending charges on my account for each transaction that's made there for 7 days past my visit to Sue's. Super inconvenient if you have a tight budget to see double the amount pending for 7 days. Not sure if this is something theu can manage, but know that before you go!

So I’m super nervous ; I honestly usually pay cash here because I’m also a server/ bartender but I went last night on Thursday & had to pay with card because I didn’t intend to buy drinks just really wanted to enjoy the vibes so I didn’t bring much cash; they had karaoke & I wanted to step out of my comfort zone & loosen up a bit so I went to buy a shot of whiskey for $7.75 I marked the tip line out & I tipped $3 in cash , I check my account On my way back home that evening & notice I was charged the $7.75 but I saw another transaction for $6… $6 isn’t like too bad but where is coming from ? I was thinking maybe it’ll go away the next day & it was just pending but it hasn’t went away …So I happen to look at reviews & i see it’s SUPER common & people have had 50+$ taken from them ! I’m praying they don’t take more money out my account , I will dispute the $6 with my bank but now I see I will need to either keep receipt , take pic of it or just use cash . The atmosphere is usually pretty cool as it’s a space for queer women. I genuinely enjoyed myself last night but this situation is most definitely Putting a bad taste in my mouth seeing how reoccurring stealing other’s money is & how LONG it’s been going on for . Makes me wonder who’s management & why do they not stress to the bartenders about this because it seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen !

DO NOT TRUST THE BARTENDERS HERE! It’s your own people sometimes that will screw your over. I have had several charges for small amounts as $5-$8 dollars that I did not authorize. It seems that bartenders will tip themselves an extra amount, and when you try to reach out to them concerning the issue, they never seem to respond to their voicemail or answer messages.

Only spend cash here they will tip themselves no matter if you give them a decent tip. I have been getting charged 5-10 dollars more than I paid whenever I used a debit or credit card there. When trying to see if it can be addressed they will never answer their phone. This has happened to me several times over the past three years I been going here so I recommend bring cash wherever coming out to the gaybrohood because they’re always adding more money on top of a tip you may have gave them.
